2002 Where it all began

Born from Passion,
Fired with Tradition

It all started with a dream and a 4,000-pound hand-crafted coal oven shipped from Naples, Italy. Anthony Mangino opened the doors of Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza on Old Country Road in Carle Place, New York in 2002, with a single unwavering belief: that the best pizza in the world is fired in coal at extreme heat, and nothing else comes close.

Two decades on, that same oven still burns at 800°F every single day. We've never switched to gas, never cut corners on ingredients, and never stopped perfecting the craft. Our dough is hand-stretched fresh each morning, our San Marzano tomatoes come from the volcanic soils of Campania, and our mozzarella is pulled daily. Coal firing creates a crisp, char-kissed crust with a depth of flavor that simply cannot be replicated any other way.

The First Fire is Lit

Anthony Mangino opens the original location at 137 Old Country Road, Carle Place, NY. A 4,000-pound Italian coal oven arrives from Naples — and the legend begins.

2005

Word Spreads Fast

Long Island Magazine names Anthony's the best pizza on Long Island. Lines form before the doors open. The coal-fired method captures the hearts of New Yorkers.

2008

Expanding the Menu

We introduce our signature coal-roasted wings and Italian-inspired sides, making Anthony's a complete dining destination beyond just pizza.

2012

10-Year Milestone

Celebrating a decade of fire, we host our first community appreciation week — feeding hundreds of neighbors and cementing our bond with Carle Place.

2018

Catering & Events Launch

We launch our full-service catering operation, bringing the coal-fired experience to weddings, corporate events, and community celebrations across New York.
